Kennedy's Vegetable Love Soup

So, tonight at GJ's house (my grandmother) I created a recipe I would like to share with you. I did this recipe all by myself, GJ did help with the stove and the big knife. It is perfect as a whole meal or for snuggling up and watching Looney Tunes. I love Tom & Jerry and Bugs Bunny but Tom & Jerry are my favorite.

Here is what I put in a pot (aka ingredients):
-Organic free range chicken stock (Happy chickens taste better)
-Can of crushed tomatoes
-2 cups of chopped baby carrots
-half a cup chopped orange pepper
-1 cup chopped yellow squash
-1 cup chopped zucchini
-alot of dry basil (you can use fresh but GJ only
had dry)
-half a cup couscous (I love saying this word, couscous, it is so silly!)
-a little bit of garlic powder (Because Grampa doesn't like garlic so GJ doesn't have fresh garlic. But we tricked him and still put a little in the soup!)
-14 cups of love

Put all ingredients in a pot and cook it while you talk about life and things with someone you love. It is very yummy. Even Grampa liked it (Even with the garlic salt, but we didn't tell him we put it in!)

To make it even better, follow soup with one of my favorite desserts...Marshmallows and strawberries dipped in dark chocolate. You know dark chocolate is very healthy for you, so eat it.

Oh, and make sure you make the plate a little fancy!

InHouse Coffee - Shrewsbury Street, Worcester

I would like to say, if you guys want to go to a good breakfast place, you should listen to this blog. Let me tell you about this place...If you want to go today or any day, you must check this place out. If you have a date, they have carrot cake there too. I have never had carrot cake before but it looked pretty good to me. It is not Sweet Bakery up the street but if you have a date in the morning go to this place because Chef Alina doesn't open Sweet in the morning.
I ordered a bagel today. It was really, really, really soft. My bagel was perfect. When my Mom wasn't looking, I snuck a sip of her ice coffee and it was really good!

The people that work there are really nice too!
I give them 3 Butterflies!
I say, give them a try! http://www.inhousecoffeeusa.com/

Flying Rhino - Shrewsbury Street, Worcester

I love their food.
Well that's not really true.
The kids menu was not that great but my Mom's dinner was REALLY good.
I ordered the kids chicken and rice.
The rice was just plain rice. I mean, it was cooked but it didn't have any flavor and it kept falling off the plate, maybe they should put it in a bowl or something.
I did get to have a sundae for dessert. I loved their whipped cream. I could tell it was real whipped cream.
Now, my mom had the Braised Short Rib plate and it tasted like sugar and it was soft and yummy! I could taste many many many flavors in my mouth. I mean it was to die for, really.

It was very pretty there too. They had lots of colors and paintings. They even had a ballerina rhino picture!
Very cool.
Our waitress for very nice.

Um...one thing though... Rhinoceros was not on the menu so I do not know what one tastes like. If you want to know what a rhino tastes like you might want to try some where else.
I give their kids menu 2 and a half butterflies- I mean just because I am a kid doesn't mean I don't want things to have flavor.

But for Mom's plate I give it 4 butterflies!

Porto Bello - Shrewsbury Street, Worcester

First I need to say that my Mommy said if I do not have anything nice to say than do not say anything at all. So I am going to try to say nice things but it is kinda hard.
NO offense but they weren't really a place for kids to go.
The waiter really did not act like he liked us. I think he was in a bad mood or maybe he didn't like us or maybe he just wanted to stay home.
I shared the chicken parmigiana with my mom.
It was a little hard for her to cut but she said it tasted ok. I ate some of the pasta. We didn't finish it and when the meany pants waiter asked us if we wanted to take it home, we said "um, no thank you".
This is not a picture of our dinner. Mom found it on the internet and said we needed to put a picture on here.
Um...The water was pretty good.
So, If you have kids you might not want to go there.

If you go there and order something else, I do not know how it tastes. So, Thats all.
Oh, and we went to Sweet for dessert so it ended up being a good night!

I give it 1 butterfly.

The Donut Cafe - Shrewsbury Street, Worcester

I love these donuts!
They taste like sugar and snow!
The people there love to give me hugs and say "Hi Kennedy!"
They are so nice. I love going there after ballet class.
I get to go behind the counter and pick my own donut!
My favorite donut is...ALL OF THEM! Except the jelly. I don't like jelly donuts.
Their donuts are way better than Dunkin Donut donuts. No offense Dunkin Donuts, I love your bagels.
So go to the Donut Cafe and tell them Kennedy sent you!

I give them 3 butterflies for the donuts and an extra butterfly for the hugs!

Buca di Beppo - Shrewsbury

Well, first I would like to say that it is hard for me to say the name...I usually call it Boopa de Peppo.
I like their mac & cheese. I also like to order the spaghetti and meatballs because the meatballs are the size of my head.
The bread, well, I sorta like it but it is kinda hard.
They give you stuff to dip the bread in, but I like it with butter.
The mac & cheese is big and cheezy. It tastes good but my mom's is still better.
It is a fun place to go because the whole table get's to eat the same food.
The waitresses are always nice and they gave me a card for my birthday.

You also get to look out onto the lake while you eat. Sometimes you can see ducks and one time I saw a guy in a boat with a DOG!

I give it 3 butterflies!

5 & Diner!

I like going to the 5 & Diner.
You can get anything you want there, you can even get Mickey pancakes.
I am not a huge fan of their dinner but I LOVE LOVE LOVE their breakfast.
Although you can see a magician on Friday nights, but still order the breakfast.
The Mickey Pancakes taste like Angels coming down to Mickey, wait that doesn't make any sense. Well, they are good.
Make sure to bring Quarters so you play music on the juke box thing. Oh! And you can also hoola hoop there!
5 & Diner Rules!
They also play old, old, old, old TV shows. I mean they are so old that only my Grampa knows what the heck they are talking about!
You better bring your kids!

I give it 2 butterflies for the food and 3 butterflies for having a magician!

Sweet Bakery!

Sweet is on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester and it is the BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD!
I think it is wonderful and I also think it is yummy.
My favorite thing is that you can sit there in the back room and well, I like all the food.
It tastes like Heaven.
I order "Trust the Chef" but I love anything Chef Alina makes me.
I would like to say that their food and the Chef are so good you have to go there every day. It's like you died and went to Heaven.
Last time I went, Chef made me a S'more. So, I liked it so much I want to order it every day. Like, there is a fire on the plate. We had marshmallows on a stick and put it in the fire, but the first thing you have to do is put the chocolate on the cookie. Then you cook the marshmallow. Then you put the cooked marshmallow on the chocolate that is on the cookie. Put the other cookie on top and smoosh. Then you have a s'more. Then you eat it and it tastes fabli-is!
If you go there, you will have the best food ever.
That's all I have to say.
Tell them Kennedy sent you!

I give it 5 butterflies and 10 crowns!
